Bio
Born in the former Yugoslavia, during a time when modern club culture was in its initial stages, Milich Jivorad aka DJ Lion has become the region's most well-known and respected DJ/Producer. Lion’s unique style is a mixture of Funky, Electro, Progressive, Minimal, Tech, Tribal, Deep, Vocal and Breakbeat House is bringing back the party to the music. He has played alongside the best House Music talents in the world including - Timo Maas, Benny Benassi, Satoshi Tomiie, Leftfield, Marshall Jefferson, Chab, Michael De Hey, Jon Silva, Coco Silco, Flash Brothers, John Creamer, Stephan K, Behrouz, and Lottie. His first gig in Pirot, Serbia led Lion to residencies in Eastern Europe's hottest clubs: Scena, Opera, Gallery, One Place, Eclips, Sorabi, Bassment, Cave, Bus, Mondo, Andergraund, Sound, Bizzare making him a star locally by the age of 21. Lion has been an official DJ for various events including the biggest summer festival in Montenegro - Bokeska Noc, Fashion Week Belgrade, Jeggermeister, Camel Winter Tour 05, promotional parties for Tuborg, Loud and Clear 05/06, Exit Music Festival in Novi Sad and has held residencies at Bulgaria’s best clubs: Chervilo, Mania, PR, Life House, Plazma, Phobia, Opera, Babbles, Cielo, Cacao Beach, Elephant, Kanape, Comics, Mono, Masai and Excess. Recognition for his exceptional talent was an invitation to mix a special compilation for the Bulgarian telecommunications company Globul, named B-Connect Beat. He also appears as a brand face in the video Rhythm 35, which is promoting the CD compilation. Lion's cutting edge productions have been released through Bulgarian labels Underground Sound of Bulgaria (USB) and USB Digital. His most recent collaboration with Miami legend Stan Kolev, 'Foldback' charted in the top 30 most downloaded tracks on Beatport within its first week of release.
